Recognition of Prior LearningPrior learning includes the knowledge, skills and competencies that individuals acquire outside the higher education institution, through work and daily life experiences. According to Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University's guidelines, recognition of such learning is achieved through methods such as exemption exams, portfolio assessments and evaluation of certificates from accredited institutions. Applications for recognition of prior learning must be made in the first academic year of the student's enrollment; later applications are not accepted. A maximum of 5 courses with a maximum of 15 ECTS credits can be recognized. Applications are evaluated by the administrative boards of the relevant academic units and the “Commission for Recognition of Previously Acquired Qualifications”. An exemption exam is organized at the beginning of each academic year for the compulsory foreign language courses in the curricula of the departments. Students who have completed the learning process of these courses on their own or who think that they have achieved the learning outcomes in these courses in different ways have the right to take these exams. Students who are successful in the exam are exempted from the relevant course in the curriculum.
Degree Requirements and Rules The students studying in this undergraduate program are required to have a Cumulative Grade Points Average (Cum.GPA) of not less than 2.00/4.00 and have completed all the courses with at least a letter grade of DD/S in the program in order to graduate. The minimum number of ECTS credits required for graduation is 120. It is also mandatory for the students to complete their compulsory internship in a specified duration and quality.
Program ProfileElderly Services Maintenance Program training principles and requirements of the basic features of the elderly to meet the needs of the elderly to know and gain proficiency in this direction, but also the ability of elderly constitute an integrated accessibility. Applications hospital, nursing home and elderly care rehabilitation centers, home care organizations, serving, etc. made.

Access To Upper DegreeCandidates successfully completing pre-graduate education programs related to the DGS exam may complete their undergraduate studies.
Exams, Assessment and Grading

Exams are graded out of 100. The semester / year-end grade of a course is the sum of 30% of the arithmetic average of the midterm or midterm exams and 70% of the grade taken in the semester / year-end exam or make-up exam. However, the semester / year-end grade of a course; Provided that it is decided by the relevant faculty / school board and announced at the beginning of the semester, it can be calculated between 30% and 50% of the arithmetic average of the midterm or midterm exams, between 70% and 50% of the grade taken in the semester / year-end or make-up exam, and the sum of the ratios can be calculated as 100%. As a result of the calculation, if the first number after the decimal point is less than five, it is increased to the lower integer, and if it is five or more than five, it is increased to the upper integer and finalized.

Course evaluations are submitted to Student Affairs by the course instructor. Evaluation grades (midterm, homework, project, final, make-up grades) are published and announced in the student information system.

Students are required to retake the courses from which they received DD, FD or FF during the first oncoming semester in which these courses are offered.

Successful Students

Students who complete their associate or undergraduate degree with a grade point average of 3.00 – 3.49 graduate as honor students; 3.50 and above as high honor students.
