Accreditation Information
It is important to ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement of the education and training activity in order to gain important advantages such as contributing to the quality of the vocational education received by the students enrolled in the Elderly Care program of Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Vocational School of Health Services, Department of Health Care Services and making our program more preferred by the students.
Within the framework of Turkey's strategic development plans, the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Vocational Education (MEDEK) was established in 2021 with the encouragement and support of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in order to increase the qualifications of Vocational Schools and graduates in order to contribute to a qualified workforce. MEDEK, which is the authorized accreditation center in Vocational Schools, is authorized in the field of accreditation and contributes to the shaping of the qualified workforce of the future by registering that vocational school programs comply with the established standards, quality criteria and performance criteria.
Accreditation is an evaluation and external quality assurance process that measures whether the academic and field-specific standards predetermined by the Council of Higher Education are met by the relevant higher education program. Therefore, associate degree program accreditation is an instrument of academic quality, transparency and accountability.
MEDEK accreditation will provide graduates with significant advantages in finding a job. In this context, Vocational School of Health Services, Department of Health Care Services, Elderly Care Program has entered the accreditation process of the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK), which is the authorized accreditation institution in Vocational Schools in our country.
